About Us

A Swiss Hotel Management School graduate with over 30 years in the Dominican Republic, has extensive experience in luxury hospitality, including roles with St. Regis Grand and Gran Melia across Europe and the Caribbean.

After earning an MBA from BARNA Business School, he founded Volalto Group in 2012 to pioneer luxury villa rentals and condo hotel management. Today, Volalto is a leader in the Dominican Republic, known for its exceptional standards and three signature luxury villa concepts in Punta Cana and Cap Cana Resorts.

Thomas Drefs began his hospitality journey at Hotel Orilla del Mar, followed by roles in his native Germany, including a position with Copa Airlines. Returning to the Dominican Republic, he served as Shift Manager at Hotel Meliá Caribe Tropical before joining the Volalto Family.

Married with two children, Thomas enjoys family time, football, and staying active, bringing his passion and dedication to every aspect of his work.

Juan holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Caribbean University and a Master’s in Finance from Universidad Central del Este. A CPA with over six years of experience as an Accounting Manager, he entered the tourism sector in 2019. Outside of work, Juan enjoys chess, mixed martial arts, and exploring the outdoors.

An architect from UASD, the first university in the Americas, Linorby has seven years of experience in residential design and construction. He started as a project designer at Laugama Construction in Santo Domingo before taking on roles with Coral Bay and Cana Rock in Punta Cana. He later joined the Volalto Family.

Passionate about art and design, Linorby enjoys creating in his free time, playing basketball, and frequent beach visits.

Originally from Santo Domingo, Mildred moved to Punta Cana eight years ago. A graduate of PUCMM University in Hotel and Tourism Management, she is pursuing a postgraduate degree in Ecotourism at Centro Europeo de Postgrados (Ceupem). With over a decade of experience, Mildred has held key roles at prestigious hotels, including Housekeeping Supervisor at El Embajador and Housekeeping Coordinator at Tortuga Bay, honing her expertise in luxury hospitality and employee management.

In her free time, she enjoys family trips, hosting gatherings, meeting new people, recycling projects, and exploring food and wine pairings—all while listening to her favorite music.

With a background in international trade and a passion for art and communication, Vanessa channels her creativity into storytelling through audiovisual design. She specializes in beautifying spaces to deliver comfort and delight to their occupants and admirers.

A theater and cinema enthusiast, Vanessa also enjoys yoga, reading, and exploring culinary experiences as a stylish foodie.

Originally from La Romana, Diana holds a degree in Hotel Management & Tourism from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE). Her passion for service and tourism began in her family’s gift shop, leading her to Punta Cana to further pursue her career. With over four years at one of the world’s largest hotel chains as a Conference Service Manager & Weddings Coordinator, Diana now thrives as a Concierge & Villa Manager and has recently expanded her role to Reservation and Sales Manager with Volalto.

In her spare time, Diana enjoys gym sessions, spending time with friends, caring for her dog, and traveling to experience new cultures.

Hailing from Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, Victoria holds a degree in Hotel Management with a specialization in Food & Beverage from PUCMM Santiago. She discovered her passion for marketing through her experience in customer care and social media management, where she focused on boosting brand visibility and engagement.

In her free time, Victoria loves exploring new destinations, reading, cooking, and expressing her creativity through painting. She is dedicated to using her diverse skills to craft effective digital strategies and create memorable brand experiences.

Originally from Puerto Plata, Janna holds a degree in Tourism and Hotel Business Administration from Unibe. With 10 years of experience in the tourism industry, she has worked with notable organizations such as Melia Hotels International, coordinating groups and conventions, as well as roles at Aeropuerto de Punta Cana and Eden Roc at Cap Cana.

Outside of work, Janna enjoys sports and outdoor activities.

A versatile professional with a film education from Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, Alejandro has over two years of experience in freelance photography, specializing in property visuals and visual storytelling.

With a background in the Department of Communications at the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, his expertise bridges film, photography, and tourism. Outside of work, Alejandro is a cinephile, music lover, and passionate traveler, enjoying outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and camping.

Maurelis holds a degree in Accounting from Universidad Católica del Este and a Master’s in Tax Accounting from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo. A CPA in the Dominican Republic, she began her career in the tourism sector in 2019, progressing from assistant to leading accounting operations.

In 2023, she joined Volalto Group to further her professional growth. Outside of work, Maurelis enjoys cooking, reading, animated movies, traveling, photography, and swimming.

Originally from Spain, Patricia holds a degree in Tourism and a Master's in Hotel Management from the University of Seville. She moved to Punta Cana five years ago to complete her master's internship at Paradisus Palma Real with Melia Hotels International.

With extensive experience in the hospitality industry, Patricia has worked as a Weddings, Groups, and Events Coordinator at Melia, followed by a role as F&B Coordinator at Eden Roc Cap Cana, where she refined her expertise in luxury customer service.

In her free time, Patricia enjoys visiting the beach and traveling around the Dominican Republic to discover its most beautiful spots.

A native of Puerto Plata, Karol began her career in the hotel industry in her hometown in 2002. She holds a degree in Tourism and Hotel Business Administration, specializing in Rooms Division Management from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico. With over 20 years of experience, Karol spent 14 years at the renowned Melia Caribe, where she held roles in Customer Service Management, Rooms Division Management, Public Relations, and The Level Management.

Passionate about customer service, Karol takes great joy in assisting visitors. In her free time, she loves spending time with family and friends, exploring new places, and enjoying a good movie.

With a bachelor's degree in Social Communication and several courses in PR & Sales, Andres was immersed in client service from a young age, which paved the way for his career in the hospitality industry. He began as a Concierge Agent at Catalonia Bavaro, then moved on to "Puntacana Hotel" before joining Tortuga Bay Hotel, part of the Leading Hotels of the World, as a Concierge and Villa Manager. After five years, he transitioned to the role of Groups & Events Coordinator at Puntacana Resort & Club.

Now at Volalto, he brings over 10 years of experience in the field. Passionate about travel and experiencing new cultures, Andres enjoys spending time at home, watching sci-fi movies, taking care of his plants, and listening to music. He's also into CrossFit and enjoys doing handy work around his house, often watching YouTube tutorials to get it just right.

Born and raised in La Romana, one of the Dominican Republic’s most prominent tourist hubs, Gerardo has always had a deep connection to the hospitality industry. With a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a master’s in Event and Banquet Management, he began his career with the renowned Blue Diamond Resorts. He later joined Puntacana Resort & Club, contributing to their Sales and Commercial departments.

In 2021, Gerardo transitioned to a front-facing role at Tortuga Bay Hotel, where he serves as a Villa Manager and Guest Experience Ambassador. In this capacity, he has seamlessly combined his expertise and passion for creating memorable guest experiences.

Gerardo is driven by his passion for delighting people and going above and beyond to make them feel special. A sports enthusiast, he enjoys watching basketball and baseball games at home and playing softball in his free time. 

Born and raised in Santo Domingo, Annetty has been involved in the tourism industry since high school. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management and has nearly seven years of experience in customer service, with a strong focus on creating exceptional customer experiences.

Annetty has coordinated successful groups, events, and golf tournaments at Puntacana Resort & Club. Passionate about travel and golf, she loves exploring new destinations and enjoying a round of golf in her free time.

Born and raised in Santo Domingo, Yuleisi embarked on an international exchange journey to Toronto, Canada, in 2009, graduating in 2013 from George Brown College. Her passion for the tourism industry began during high school and blossomed into a fulfilling career. With a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality HR Management and over a decade of customer service experience, Yuleisi is known for her attention to detail and expertise in crafting unforgettable customer experiences.

​Her extensive background includes coordinating weddings, groups, and events at renowned establishments like the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

In her free time, she enjoys the serenity of the beach, exploring literature, and engaging in outdoor activities.

Originally from Cuba, she moved to the Dominican Republic at the age of 12 with her family. She pursued her higher education in Tourism and Hotel Management at the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD), the first university in the Americas.

Her professional journey began at Paradisus Palma Real by Melia International, where she dedicated seven years to cultivating her passion for service and hospitality. Seeking further growth, she worked as a Villa Manager at Tortuga Bay Hotel in Punta Cana, gaining valuable experience in luxury guest services before joining the exceptional team at Volalto.

In her free time, she enjoys creating unforgettable moments with friends and family, connecting with nature, and spending time outdoors.

Hailing from Spain, Eva holds a double degree in Tourism and Marketing with a specialization in Events Management and is currently completing her Master's in Hotel Management. Her career path reflects a global perspective, having lived and gained experience in Germany and the United Kingdom before pursuing her dream of working in the hotel industry in the Dominican Republic.

Since 2019, Eva has been contributing to the luxury hospitality scene, spending the last three years as Chief Concierge at Hyatt Cap Cana, the top-rated hotel in Punta Cana. Recently, she joined the Volalto team, where she is dedicated to crafting unforgettable guest experiences.

In her free time, Eva enjoys going to the beach, traveling, and cherishing moments with her family.

With a 14-year background in tourism and customer service. He has built his career in high-profile hotels and vacation clubs, holding key roles such as receptionist, concierge, supervisor, and manager. He is noted for his skills in communication, conflict management, and emotional intelligence, as well as his expertise in team coordination and customer orientation.
 

One of his most notable achievements is leading the departmental structuring during the opening of several hotels and vacation clubs. Outside of work, Shamir enjoys spending quality time with his family.
